Buon Giorno, Hello, Hi, I would like to thank all of you for checking out my blog! My name is Salvatore Silvestrino and I’m a forty-something Chef born and raised in Naples Italy and partly Australia, and now residing in Dubai, United Arab Emirates . I started this blog as a tribute to my Auntie (Zietta) whom passed way on the 21st of April 2010, to my mum Annamaria, who I refer to as my home mentor, She is a wonderful cook who has the greatest passion and gift to turn any meal into an experience.

Some of the recipes that you see here are my interpretations created from my memory along with the help of my family, I use all my senses to recreate my mums dishes as I recall the taste, smell and feel of her cooking as i was growing up. Although Zietta and my mum have inspired me to create this blog you will also see recipes from my profession as a chef and from other chefs who i have befriended and have instilled some great new skills and motivation to further enhance my career. I am still learning new things every day and enjoy trying out recipes from some of my favorite Chefs as well. In all it is a compilation of life experiences, professionalism and most of all passion

The following Blog and recipes are a collection of my fondest and most memorable moments sitting with my family indulging in great food and passionate discussions about life

I hope you enjoy preparing the recipes as much as I have enjoyed eating and preparing them growing up in a crazy, spontaneous Neapolitan family

This Blog is dedicated to all that inspire and dedicate their time to help others inspire.

it is dedicated to My Wife Liliana, my most avid companion that has endured years of moving around the globe with three small Children, Her relentless pursuit of my career has made everything I am today, possible

My daughters Charlize, India and Jayda for being the most wonderful children,

My mum an inspirational Chef with passion and an abundance of energy to create amazing meals

My father for being my hero and my Guardian Angel, nonno Angelo

Buon Appetito
